An American backyard revolution, now in India
In the year 1952, America was waking up to a new sound – Rock ‘n’ Roll. But a certain
Mr. George Stephen Sr. was waking up to a new home truth: the average barbecue grill
simply wasn’t good enough.
Several shortcomings in the grill worried him deeply: the fire was almost always inconsistent;
the passage of air was uncontrollable; and the slightest hint of rain shut down the whole
barbecue party.
This was unacceptable.
At his workplace, Weber Brothers Metal Works, he ingeniously cut a metal buoy in half and
fashioned a dome shaped grill with a round lid… an idea that changed the world of grilling
forever.
Even though his design cost more, people were quick to appreciate it. By the late 1950s,
Mr. Stephen Sr. took over the sole ownership of the metal company to devote his passion to
making the world’s most outstanding barbecue grills.
Soon enough, the Weber grill took its rightful place as an American icon – just like hot dog
and apple pie. Today, the art of barbecuing is reaching newer heights because his family is
keeping the revolutionary flame of that passion alive.
And now, this amazing backyard revolution is in India. Welcome to the wonderful experience
of a perfect, delectable barbecue in your own backyard and terrace.
Happy grilling!
